Randy Povey
has proudly continued the Povey legacy of service
to the Redmond Oregon community for over 30 years.

 

Highlights of his service include:

 

Volunteer firefighter – 23 years

 

Served in The Order of Smokey Stover to spearhead holiday toy & food drives

 

Built the Umatilla Sports Complex and the David M. Jaqua Sports Complex with volunteer efforts

 

Raised money for local resident’s medical needs through grassroots efforts

 

Created The Central Oregon Bone Marrow Transplant Foundation

 

Initiated efforts to pass state legislation mandating employers to allow time off for employees to donate bone marrow 

 

Co-founded then later served as Co-Chair on the Flag City USA Committee to install hundreds of flags in downtown Redmond, OR on major holidays

 

Served on the Redmond City Council for 12 years

 

Served as City Council President in 2000

 

Awarded Central Oregon Volunteer of the Year in 2000

Youth Soccer Coach – 4 years
